OnePlus 5 : Rumour and Reality

OnePlus is a Shenzhen-based startup and producer of smartphones and founded in December 2013. The company claims to provide some of the best features in their smartphones at affordable prices.

OnePlus is all set to launch their next smartphone, OnePlus 5, which goes viral among most of the smartphone users. The company is planning to launch it next month.

The phone is rumoured to come with a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels.

Our sources also said that it is coming with updated android 7.0 and is expected to be powered by 2.45 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and come with 6 GB of RAM.

Sources said that is can be more powerful than Samsung Galaxy S8 in terms of its durability and processing speed. It is also tipped to support dual camera setup, a fingerprint scanner and 64GB of external storage.

In previous years, OnePlus has marketed their phones as "Flagship Killers", but this year, it can be proved true if OnePlus 5 can be a success in the market.

The successor to last year's OnePlus 3T can have a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery. In comparison to OnePlus 5, Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 3,000 mAh battery and Galaxy S8+ has 3,500 mAh.

Charging and syncing will be expected to be handled via USB type-C.

However, it can be disappointing for those who are hoping that this coming smartphone will be around the same budget as OnePlus has used for its previous smartphones. Comparing to its features, it can be at a higher budget that usual one.
Some whispers are also going in the market that it can be as high as roughly $650.

That can be a significant increase in amount as compared to their previous one i.e, OnePlus 3T. But that's very less in comparison to Samsung Galaxy S8 which is $900 and iPhone 7 of $780.

However, this can be one of the best smartphones of these specifications at this price, but it can easily backfire.

Some reports have pointed that is can have a ceramic body, However, these might not necessarily available at launch.

So, let's see what OnePlus is coming out with their launch.
