Samsung galaxy Tab pro 8.4: competition to ipad mini is here

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 first view

like every year the CES: consumer electronics show(for more click on the link) happily and successfully held in las Vegas. This year there were not many launches in the categories of smart phones and  tablets but as we know SAMSUNG always got something in their bag. So this Korean giant launches the 4 brand new flagship devices in TABpro and NOTEpro series. exactly 3 in TABpro series including TABpro 8.4,TAB pro 10.1 and TAB pro 12.2  and one in NOTEpro series which is NOTE pro 12.2, with only difference is that the NOTEpro includes the S-pen stylus. So with the launch of a tablet with screen size of 12.2 inch Samsung now have portable devices in all screen sizes. So let's go back to topic, here today I'm quickly going to tell you about the new galaxy TABpro 8.4.

first impression:
The  look is same like any other galaxy flagship design and rear is like Samsung galaxy note 3 so nothing innovative about design.  Superb hardware all inclusive ram, processor, storage everything and of course software also. very good screen and  better  than the retina display of Ipad, yes you heard me right the only thing is that ppi is low but your eyes cannot make a difference so no big deal and next eye catchy thing is this device is  only 7.2mm thick  which make this 8.5inch tablet easy to handle and use. The next big change you will see  is the custom rom or touchwiz UI of Samsung which in this TAB looks more like the windows phone tile based user interface. This device will be available in the Q1 of 2014,let say march or April. Nothing about price by Samsung.

Design and build:
Nothing new and innovative by the Korean giant this time also. This device also carries the same design like any other Samsung's  galaxy flagship devices. This 8.4 inch tablet resembles the NOTE 3 with same body design and leather finish rear. The tablet measures 219x129x7.2mm. and weighted only 331g. This is one of the lightest and slimmest 8.5 inch tabs available in the market. So overall old but reliable design.
Display:
This new Samsung galaxy flagship device comes loaded with brilliant  8.4 inch super clear LCD capacitive touch screen with resolution of 2560x1600 which is no doubt better than the Apple's  Ipad, with pixel density of 359 ppi. The display have good viewing angles, brightness level, and shows no problem in reading or using in sunlight. Over all very good display with no  -ve  points.

Hardware ,software & storage:
The tab Pro 8.4 comes loaded with a quad-core 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with  2GB of RAM. Which provide unmatched speed and perform well in navigation, web browsing, gaming etc. So will face  no issue while doing multitasking. In tab pro you can also use upto  4 multi window, which means you can run 4 different apps at same time.
Coming to software the Tab Pro 8.4 runs on Google's latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system . with some changes in UI is totally different from old touchwiz UI of Samsung but this looks more like windows the tiles and all you get on WP8. This is known as samsung  magazine UX skin. If you are use to of windows 8 on your PC or smartphone it will take no time but for others this going to take some time. This tablet also comes preloaded with cool productivity and security features. Which also includes Samsung's Knox security service. Knox is a security service designed to protect the device in means of hardware and according to Samsung this Knox feature can save this device even from Trojan attacks, that's impressive.
The tablet comes with a option of either 16GB or 32 gb inbuilt storage and option of microSD card slot expandable upto 64GB.

Battery:
The Tab Pro 8.4 have good amount of battery which 4800 mAh Li-ion battery which is enough to support your daily tasks including some heavy duty deeds like gaming, video calling, entertainment etc.
Final verdict:
Nothing solid can be said because there is no disclosure of price of this tablet but considering  all the specs in mind, powerful processor, 2GB ram, very good screen, decent battery, so everything  just top of the line. So if Samsung priced it under RS 25,000() then this should b a good deal and tough competition to APPLE'S new IPAD MINI launched in 2013 with 64 bit architecture processor .
